As we continue to experience the impact of COVID – 19, we want to assure you that Freedom Mobility Center is committed to providing our beneficiaries with safe and quality care. All of our locations remain open and are ready to serve you.
During this pandemic, Freedom Mobility Center has been able to not only maintain a full staff of dedicated employees but also expand our workforce to continue to provide you with the care you deserve. We are following the guidelines of Medicare, Medicaid and other private insurances to promote your safety by utilizing Telehealth face to face examinations and remote seating evaluations. These are important and required steps in you obtaining your Complex Rehabilitative Power Wheelchair. These alternative methods enable our Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) to team up with your physicians, therapists, and clinicians to serve you remotely and ensure your safety while continuing to provide you with the mobility equipment you need.
Your well-being remains our focus amidst these unprecedented times. We continue to follow guidance from federal, state, and local agencies to make decisions based on the guidelines set forth by the government, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local health officials.
As part of our accreditation through the Joint Commission, we are required to have infection control policies in place, along with very specific sanitizing standards. At this time, we are placing emphasis on the importance of following those policies and procedures as well as implementing additional actions to further ensure a safe work environment.
- Disinfecting commonly used work stations, evaluation rooms, doorknobs, keyboards, remote controls, desktops, etc. before and after each use.
- Increased frequency of regularly scheduled cleansings and sanitization efforts across all our office locations.
- Avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth at all times.
- Reinforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary and recommended by local health agencies.
- Allow employees who are able to work from home.
We are reminding all staff to initiate personal protection measures suggested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and encourage you to do the same.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place.
- Use hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Put distance between yourself and other people to limit possible exposure.
- Stay home if you are sick.
- Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.
We are committed to continuing your care.
